Having a birthday and looking for an unusual but fun idea for your party?  Throwing a party for a child, friend, partner or business colleague?  Ever dreamt of being a cowboy (or cowgirl)? It is time that you broaden your mind and focus on something completely different – a cowboy party!  At Diamond X Ranch, we specialise in various activities involving horses and cowboys, and we have some fantastic and entertaining cowboy party ideas for young and old.

Parties are not all about fun and cake, it can also be used to learn a new skill, especially those acquired on horseback, such as cattle herding, reining, lunging, or barrel racing.  For those of you who are not sure what barrel racing is, it entails riding a horse as fast as possible, around three barrels, in a clover leaf shape.  While it sounds easy, it takes quite a lot of skill, but it is a relatively easy way for novices to improve their horsemanship skills.

Lunging and reigning also require skill, but a lot of fun can be had, while learning to rope in a head of cattle from horseback!  For those who are keen to learn some less horse-intensive skills, there are also other activities, such as pole bending and horseshoe tossing.  It is a great day out for the entire family, and our wonderful cowboy party ideas are guaranteed to make just about any party a success, regardless of age.

Diamond X Ranch offers a wide range of cowboy-related activities, which include cattle drives, pony camps, four day cowboy camps outrides and western games.  It is a fabulous place to indulge your wildest cowboy fantasies and to find out what life as a real cowboy would be like.  We cater for novice and advanced riders, and our experienced instructors are always on hand, to help make your day even better.

But as cowboy party ideas will have it, not all the fun ends when the sun goes down!  After the dust has settled, you can relax at our crystal clear swimming pool or in your comfortable accommodation.  The cowboys can then kick off with a dance in our function venue at the stables, where there is a dance floor and catering facilities.
